The Excalibur Award
The Excalibur Award is the highest honor that a local Commandery can bestow upon a member. It was created by the Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Texas to honor and recognize a Sir Knight for outstanding and meritorious service to the Commandery or Templary.
A Commandery may elect only one recipient per year and is not required to award one each year. According to the Grand Commandery, nominees may not be current dais officers, and Past Commanders are not eligible for the award until three years have passed since their service as Commander.
